Bus Transfers To and From Kingston Airport

Upon arrival at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, hotel shuttle services, and buses.

This is not the most comfortable means of transportation for tourists in Jamaica, but buses are available from the airport in some areas in Jamaica.

One-way ticket: J$120.00.

Note: The official currency of Jamaica is the Jamaican dollar or J$, but US dollars are also widely accepted.

If you'll be visiting places outside of the tourist centers, you'll want to take Jamaican dollars. In big resort areas, you can usually get by with USD.

In the foreign currency market, the most common Jamaican dollar exchange is the USD/JMD rate, which, as of this update, stands at 1.00 USD = 156.00 JMD.

The symbol is $, J$ or JA$ to distinguish it from the American dollar.

JUTC Bus Route 98 Port Royal / Airport to City

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus can get you downtown from Kingston Airport.

• Weekdays, from 05:35 am to 10:11 pm.
• Saturday: From 05:28 am to 09:52 pm.
• Sunday and public holidays: from 05:53 am to 10:13 pm.

A one-way ticket costs J$120.00.

Knutsford Express

Aside from JUTC buses, Knutsford Express offers services to several destinations within Jamaica. Buses are big, comfortable, and equipped with air-conditioning units.

Please note that buses depart from the Kingston Bus Terminal downtown.
