Ocho Rios is on the northeastern shore of Jamaica. Commonly referred to as Ochi, it is a popular destination for cruise ships and tourists alike.

It features a bulk of resorts and tourist attractions. There are many conveniences, such as supermarkets and restaurants.

There are two cruise ship piers in Ocho Rios, namely the Turtle Bay Pier and James Bond Pier.

The Turtle Bay Pier

This is a purpose-built cruise terminal connected directly to the center of town via a shopping area.

As a result, it is a short walk to the public beach, the shops, the restaurants, and watering holes such as Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.

Most ships dock at the Turtle Bay cruise dock. This pier was specifically built to welcome cruise ships at Ocho Rios.

The dock is in front of the town. At the end of the dock, you will find a small tourist information, taxi stand, Margaritaville, and a shopping road leading to town.

The cruise dock is approximately a 5-minute walk or 900 meter/yard walk to the city center.

James Bond Pier

Your second docking option would be the James Bond cruise pier although its official name is the Reynolds cruise pier.

It was nicknamed James Bond pier because it served as the background for the film version of Dr. No.

The Reynolds Cruise pier is used when more than one ship is in town on the same day. It is a commercial industrial pier.

The city center is approximately a 15-minute walk along a busy road.
